Maharashtra contributes around 25% of the all India collections so the holiday will add a reasonable amount to its first day but the area will see a big drop tomorrow as is the case after a holiday. The holiday for Gudi-Pawa has provided a boost for Agent Vinod as it records the best collections in Maharashtra be it multiplexes or single screens but its not so good going in the rest of the country with multiplexes recording average collections and single screens being poor.

In the Delhi-UP circuit, G D Mehta of Bobby Arts International says, “The film has received a good response here. In multiplexes, the shows are almost housefull, with an average opening of 80 per cent. But the opening in single-screens is not up to the mark.

In Punjab, Agent Vinod took a 50-per cent opening. Distributor Surendra Saluja of Lakshya Movies feels the business for the film should pick up.

West Bengal has given the film the thumbs-up. Sunit Singh of Aum Moviez says, “The opening is very good, at around 80 per cent. The business of the film should increase as the day progresses.”

In Rajasthan, Sunil Bansal of Yash Raj Jai Pictures says the movie opened to 60 to 75 per cent.

Lucknow – 2.53 lakhs (8 theatres)
